Powell County Corn Festival

For people who love corn and the outdoors, the Stanton Corn Festival is not simply three days of corn-gobbling fun. Of course, it does focus on the history and the delicious varieties of corn prepared on the cob and popped in the kettle, but it also offers a variety of music from local and regional folk and country bands. For people who love to remain active, the festival also offers a 5K marathon that accommodates both walkers and runners. As its main audience is families, it features talent contests for children of all ages and beauty pageants for children up to six years of age.

Spread across three days, visitors also have access to a variety of vendors that feature all the favorite festival foods, such as burgers, hot dogs, and food on sticks. Finally, the talent of the local and regional artisans is available for viewing–and for purchase–at a variety of craft booths throughout the festival grounds.
