The Lodge

Our 7,000+ sqft Lodge (nestled near Natural Bridge in Kentucky) features 16 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Sleeping up to 64 people, The Lodge is the perfect rental for your next group outing.

Don't have enough folks to rent the entire Lodge? We also rent it out by the room.

"We loved having the entire Lodge to ourselves for 2 nights, and not a lot of "you can't use this closet" or "you have to stop working in the conference room at 11pm" type restrictions. Being able to work into the night Wed night to decorate and prepare flowers in the conference room was very important. The wedding deck being so close we could decorate the arch without driving was great too. It was great to have full access to the kitchen, ice maker (great to have!) and 2 refrigerators, the dining room for appetizers and all other meals, the living room for chatting and dining room overflow. There was plenty of couch seating for everyone in the common areas- that was great. The fireplaces look so lovely and were nice and cozy."

Cliffview Resort & Lodge Reviews

We had our family reunion in the Lakeside Lodge. It was perfect for our family. The kitchen set-up made for perfect family gatherings. The game room and theater was ideal for the younger generation and the quiet, peaceful balconies made the older generation happy. The hot tubs made eveyone happy. The layout of the lodge gave everyone space to spreadout. The lodge was clean and when we had a couple of minor issue they were addressed with politeness and promptness. The access to outdoor activities was extremely convenient. I would highly recommend Lakeside lodge for your next event.read more

We had the privilege of celebrating our marriage this past weekend here at Cliffview Resort. From the very beginning both my husband and I had the best feeling of this beautiful place. Nancy and Amanda were always answering every one of our questions and making us feel at ease. The lodge can be rented as a whole or you can stay in your favorite suite so long as the lodge isn't completely rented out. Luckily, we found Cliffview far out enough that we were able to reserve the entire lodge for a 3-day weekend! The lodge with a max capacity of 64 guests (16 bedrooms, 2 queen beds per suite with bathroom), ceremony deck on site overlooking the mountains, and reception space in one vicinity. On our wedding day, we had so many beautiful options for photos even with rain on/off all day long. The innkeepers, Allen and Janice, were OUTSTANDING!!!! They worked so hard to make everything a dream on the lodge site. Every morning, Janice prepared a wonderful continental breakfast and she put genuine thought into the foods she would purchase and prepare for the buffet. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Cliffview Resort to EVERYONE!read more

Stayed in room 201 on Aug 13, 2017. It was almost like we had the place to ourselves, we only saw a few people. The staff was really nice and allowed us to check in early. The place is as clean as everyone says it is which was really nice, I generally have issues staying in hotels etc. I can't comment on the walls being paper thin as others did since I don't think many people were there. I know we didn't hear anything. It was something tho, at night to go out on the deck with a glass of wine and the porch swings to just listen to nature, I really think I could have slept out there it was so peaceful. They also have a pedal boat and 2 canoes for you to use on the pond if you like. All kinda of games inside and outside as well as lots of dvds. Some complained about breakfast but I thought it was a nice offering, however if you're doing low carb bring something. The only thing I found odd was not knowing what was provided by the resort and what a guest might have brought. While eating breakfast a guest I assumed came in and took a gallon of milk, half a gallon of OJ and all kinds of cereal and other things after that I wasn't sure what was what in the fridge. Fyi they have an amazing toaster..lol. Only thing I really hated was the road leading up to the lodge. Omg that thing like to gave me heart attacks, part of it is really a one lane road and there are parts of it you cannot get out of someone else's way. If you go you must eat at Miguels don't let the appearance fool you the pizza is good and Red River Rockhouse, cute place, great food and even better staff. Ladies forget the make up and fancy clothes, put your hair in a pony tail, and have a great time outdoors. We will be going back for many years to come. Thanks All!read more

We knew we wanted to get married in the Red River Gorge area and we were blessed that Cliffview had an opening in May. The area is downright gorgeous. We had both our ceremony and reception at Cliffview. The reception was held at their reception hall a.k.a activities building. The building is gorgeous by itself and doesn't really need much if any decoration. The Cliffview staff were very responsive to my questions and they initiated contact themselves several times just to check on us. The staff also moved and set up the provided chairs for the ceremony. We had a few issues with Cliffview and some of them may be mostly related to reserving the place during a holiday weekend. Sundays are not cheaper on holiday weekends. We only reserved the space for Sunday instead of the whole weekend. There was confusion about what ceremony site that we had reserved. Apparently certain buildings are attached to different ceremony sites. We didn't discover this until two months before the wedding. And even if the other ceremony sites are not reserved, you can't choose to have your ceremony at another site. The same is true for rehearsing as well. We asked if we could rehearse the day before the wedding at our ceremony site and we were told that we would have to pay a huge fee to do so even though we would only need it for an hour and it wasn't already reserved. We also inquired about renting the huge dining room at the lodge for a rehearsal dinner and were told that we would have to rent out the whole lodge to have access to the dining room. We had already rented the reception hall. We didn't have a private separate room to get ready in but used the bathrooms of the reception hall. We could have rented a cabin to stay in but since it was a holiday weekend that meant a minimum 3 day stay which becomes very pricey. All in all, gorgeous area and buildings, but lots of restrictions and a nickel and dime attitude/feel.read more

Our group gives the Cliffview 5 stars. It's a lovely building, in a beautiful setting. It's not too big and it is neat, clean, and well run. The managers were helpful and accommodating. Ponds all around for fishing. Zipline in the back yard. Porch swings, evening fire in the fire pit and more. Loved that the kitchen in the lodge is open to residents, along with a barbecue grill. This was a great place for friends and very accommodating for families. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.read more

Cliffview Lodge is an idyllic log cabin lodge with views of the surrounding gorge, rock cliffs and ponds. The rooms are spacious and clean and you'll love the special touches in the bathroom. Each room has a sliding door that opens to a covered deck overlooking the views. The open area of the Cliffview Lodge is easily a cozy place to watch a movie, read a book or chat with family and friends. One of our favorite times was preparing and cooking our healthy meals using the kitchen and grill. There are nice cafes and many activities for all fitness levels nearby. But you always want to come back home to your quiet, remote space at Cliffview Lodge.read more

On February 26 – 28, 2016 My Group of 20 students and 1 Faculty advisor stayed at the Cliffview Lodge. We rented this Lodge for our Spring Retreat. We booked the lodge about 4 months in advanced. When booking, we let them know our budget and they were willing to work with us. Upon our arrival, the Innkeepers were welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. After that, the innkeepers stayed in the lower level of the lodge (which is off limits to guests). There are about 32 beds and 16 rooms in the lodge. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. We were extremely pleased with our stay. The conference room was exceptionally large and there was plenty of space for everyone to have a good workspace. There is much more I can say but have no clue where to start; so in shirt, I had a great experience and I will return in the future. I will be more than glad to offer more information if you would like just message me.read more
