Ravenna Railroad Festival
For train lovers, this is the festival not to miss. Hosted for one day only, the festival features regional singer-songwriter musicians along with a host of folk and country bands. Food vendors ensure family festival-goers are satiated throughout a day filled with fun fit for all ages. For instance, the children’s parade features children on their bikes, trikes, and wagons, waving and smiling to their families. Following the parade, children can enjoy miniature train rides, and they can relax even more as they are pulled by their parents in wagons. Never have children been more pampered. Finally, parents can unwind at the craft booths, enjoying the wares of local artisans.
Of course, the festival’s focus is on the trains. The exhibits include a variety of historic steam engines, pull cars, and cabooses in an event intended to honor the railroad history and tradition that helped build the region and employ the residents.
